Lesson 2 Use the Color Picker and the Swatches Palette PHOTOSHOP 4-13 Add a new color to the Swatches palette 1. Click the Eyedropper Tool on the toolbox. 2. Click the light yellow pepper at coordinates 215 X/65 Y. TIP When using both the Info palette and the Swatches palette, you ll have to rearrange the palettes so both are visible. Click the Minimize button on the palette tabs to reduce the size of either palette. 3. Click the empty area to the right of the last swatch in the bottom row of the Swatches palette with the Paint Bucket pointer . 4. Type Light Yellow Pepper in the Name text box. 5. Click OK in the Color Swatch Name dialog box. TIP To delete a color from the Swatches palette, press [Alt] (Win) or [option] (Mac), position the pointer over a swatch, then click the swatch. 6. Save your work, then compare the new swatch on your Swatches palette to Figure 13. You used the Eyedropper Tool to sample a color, and then added the color to the Swatches palette.
